The Journal of Foundational Learning and Child Development is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice in early and primary education. The journal focuses on the developmental period from birth through the early years of primary/elementary schooling (ages 0–8), with an emphasis on foundational literacy and numeracy, curriculum and pedagogy, and cognitive and socio-emotional development.

The journal provides a platform for scholarly work on inclusive and special education, effective learning environments, assessment practices, and the professional development of educators.
